Bob Madar
As a member of the instructional improvement team, Bob provides training and support to First Things First schools to increase engagement, alignment and rigor in teaching and learning.
Before joining IRRE, Bob was an award-winning high school science teacher; a national training consultant in project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction and integrated curriculum design; and a curriculum designer for Inspiration Software. He is the principal author of three books on the use of graphic organizers in science and math instruction, and his classroom techniques were featured in “Learning That Works,” produced by Boston public television affiliate WGBH.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, and a master’s of science in entomology from Oregon State University.
