Create Personalized Learning Communities

IRRE Supports

Many efforts at school transformation have looked to small learning communities as their entry point to comprehensive reform, only to stall at the starting line. The staffing and scheduling challenges can overwhelm school personnel unless they receive assistance from truly experienced providers. IRRE’s pool of expert schedulers, with over 50 years of combined experience, provide direct guidance on the complex mechanics of setting up or repairing personalized learning communities. IRRE’s senior staff also helps school and district leaders navigate the politics and finances of changing how time and people are allocated, and identify appropriate “themes” for these communities that incorporate, but also advance, existing programs. Finally, IRRE’s staff development teams bring longstanding experience and expertise to support school administrators, teachers, and teacher-leaders within personalized learning communities to improve instruction and strengthen teacher and student commitment. In this way, the potential of personalized communities to provide an effective foundation for other reform efforts is realized.
